The movie shows the discovery place of UR501, the lower jaw of a Homo rudolfensis. It was found in 1991 lying on the surface in two pieces near Uraha village. A fragment of the jaw, crucial for identifying the species, was missing. One year later, the fragment was found by sieving through 10 tons of sediment. Click to return to movie index. |
